Coastal Touring and Navigation Course – Tofino Weekend

This 3 day course provides the theory and skills for paddleboard journeying and touring in coastal areas.

Interested in gaining more ocean experience while enjoying the incredible SUP touring in Tofino? This course will improve your coastal touring skills and decision making for paddleboarding on oceans and lakes. We navigate and explore picturesque Clayoqout Sound and the coastline of Tofino. The course focuses on weather forecasting, trip planning, navigating throughout currents & tides, launching and landing in surf, and improving skills and paddling technique. Explore the endless waterways around Tofino on your board with expert instruction from Norm Hann and Tofino local, Catherine Bruhwiler from Tofino Paddle Surf.

When: June 12 (evening), 13 and 14 (full days)

Prerequisite: Advanced Flatwater SUP course or equivalent experience
