Instructional and scenic paddle on the calm coastal waters of MacKenzie Beach
Join us for an instructional and scenic two-hour paddle from the calm waters of MacKenzie Beach. This tour is excellent for getting you out on the water, whether it’s for the first or tenth time. It is the ideal stepping stone to becoming a confident and accomplished paddler.
Requirements
We highly recommend that participants are able to swim, though it’s not required. For group tours, participants must be at least 14 years old. No experience necessary.

All our guides are CPR and Paddle Canada Certified.
This lesson is also available as a private/family tour. The age limit does not apply to private tours. For groups of 6 or more please contact us.
All equipment and wetsuit rental is included in the price.
Ample free parking is available right by our shop.
Please bring your bathing suit, towel, sunscreen, a hat and straps for your glasses if necessary.
Please arrive at the shop at least 10 minutes before your scheduled tour.

This daily tour is our ‘Intro Stand Up Paddle Boarding’ class. The emphasis is on getting you prepared for your own future paddle adventures. Expect to learn lots of new skills and safety knowledge all while enjoying the surrounding scenery and wildlife! Spend the morning exploring and practicing your new skills within the safe bay of Mackenzie Beach. We have a maximum of six people per instructor meaning that you’ll get the best expert instruction and guidance. Your own Paddle Canada Certification is available on request.

All our tours take place within the incredibly beautiful Clayoquot Sound. This area was designated as a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 2000 for its biological diversity and is the ancestral territory of the Tla-o-qui-aht First Nations.
While here on the sound keep your eyes out for a whole host of wildlife, such as grey whales, orcas, porpoises, seals, sea lions, otters, bald eagles and more!

There is a required safety briefing which we complete for every tour and rental that covers equipment use, safety and weather conditions.
