Paddle Canada Coastal Surf Weekend Tofino   Tofino Paddle Surf’s Catherine Bruhwiler continues to work in conjunction with Paddle Canada Instructors Norm Hann and Mike Darbyshire to offer ‘Tofino Coastal Surf Weekends’ on Tofino’s spectacular Chesterman’s Beach. These 3 day courses are offered biannually in the spring and fall. The weekends are a perfect introduction to SUP surfing in coastal areas. Tofino SUP Race Last Weekend at Mackenzie Beach! Some fun photos and fun times. We raced some challenging water for the 11-12 k long distance race across the channel and down the coast for 2 loops and Sunday’s short (not so short) courses were awesome to watch! Congrats to all the racers,cheerleaders, winners, the Tin Wis for hosting, my awesome staff for helping out and especially Stu, Andy and their family at Compass Adventures for all the organizing and entertainment (including inviting over a great Hawaiian musician for the Saturday night luau.)   ASI SUP Instruction Certification CourseStuart Robinson of Surf-SUP in Comox is a certified ASI Master Paddler and is offering a one day ASI (Association of Surfing Instructors – Internationally recognized) SUP Instruction Certification Course in Tofino.Date: Monday July 22, the day after the Tofino BC SUP Cup and Vancouver Island Race Series SUP Race at Mackenzie Beach.Cost: $300.This certification is recognized internationally.
