SUP Yoga Classes – Sundays 8am -9am

Ready to try something new? Tofino Paddle Surf and Coastal Bliss Yoga offer SUPyoga during the summer months! SUPyoga is a fun way to energize, transform, and add the calming element of the ocean to your regular yoga practice.

Learn to paddle with Catherine Bruhwiler and practice your poses in the calm clear waters of Mackenzie Beach. This class is lead by certified yoga and SUP yoga instructor, Dede Monette. Adding the element of water increases the amount of core stability in your poses and provides another opportunity to enjoy our beautiful coasts and the golden light of summer evenings. Utilize balance, breathing, and strength to achieve flexibility and tranquility on the open water.

Date: Sundays 8am – 9am (July and August)

PrerequisitesBasic Standup Paddleboarding class or equivalent experience, know how to swim, take a yoga class or 2

Don’t have your own gear?

If board/paddle and wetsuit rentals are needed for the class, please arrive at 7:45 am for registration and rental. Otherwise see you at 7:55am for signing waivers.  Be ready to hit the water 8am sharp!

What to wear: Bathing suit or quick dry clothing (what you might wear to a regular yoga class) on warmer, windless evenings or a wetsuit full or shorty wetsuit for cooler days or if you like to get wet. We recommend bring a towel and change of clothes to leave close by on the beach as there’s always a chance you might get wet, especially when you really want to challenge yourself!

Prices:

Option 1: Drop in SUPyoga $15 cash only (DOES NOT includes board and paddle)

Option 2: Drop in SUPyoga $25 + GST (includes board and paddle)
