We did it Tofino! 100 people turned up to help spell out “Save Our Salmon!” Tla-o-qui-aht members Terry Dorward and Joe Martin braved 5 metres seas and gale force winds to welcome the Rainbow Warrior. Bringing back the Rainbow Warrior message “End Destructive Salmon Farming” Thanks to the GP team and everyone who helped.   A big big thanks to photographers Marnie Recker (in the air with Atleo Air) and Wayne Barnes (on the water with Remote Passages)! Joe Martin and Terry Dorward went out to greet the boat in a gale with 5 metre seas. You are all brave souls indeed! Thanks to all of you who promoted, supported and came out to the beach. Rainbow Warrior – Wild Salmon Flotilla Monday, October 7 10am meet at Middle Chesterman by Frank Island!!   Join Greenpeace’s flagship Rainbow Warrior on the water near Tofino in Tla-o-qui-aht Territory on the morning of October 7. Bring your boat, kayak, canoe, surfboard, paddle board or any sea-worthy vessel to join the flotilla. Let’s send a message that the people of this region love wild salmon—it’s time to get open net-pen salmon farms out of the Clayoquot Sound UNESCO Biosphere waters! This is a peaceful protest which will be non-confrontational. Clayoquot Action is coordinating local logistics on behalf of Greenpeace.
